Shun Political Rancour After Supreme Court Judgement, Ben Bruce Tells Appellants

Founder of Silverbird Group and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Ben Murray-Bruce has told the appellants to shun political rancour after the Supreme Court judgement.

Mr. Ben Bruce made this known on his X account (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, October 25.

“Whatever the judgment of the Supreme Court tomorrow, I hope that all parties to the election and the appeal accept it because the Supreme Court is final. After tomorrow, there must be no more political rancour.

“We should all unite and face the task of rescuing the economy, especially the Naira and undoing the damage the previous administration did,” he posted.

The former Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District added that this is time to embrace governance and do away with partisan politics.

“We cannot be in election mode forever. Governing mode must now begin in earnest. We can resume partisanship in four years. From tomorrow, our squabbles must no longer be with each other but against insecurity, criminality, economic hardship and disunity.”

The Supreme Court judgement on the appeals by the presidential candidates of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Mr. Peter Obi against President Bola Tinubu is slated for tomorrow.

Recall that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) affirmed the election of President Bola Tinubu.
